CyArk is a non profit organization founded in 2003 to digitally record, archive and share the world's cultural heritage and ensure that these places continue to inspire wonder and curiosity for decades to come. After 15 years in operation we have recorded over 200 monuments on all 7 continents. We assist those who work to manage and preserve these sites by providing engineering drawings and detailed maps to assist in critical conservation work and the active management of these sites. We archive the data using state of the art processes to ensure that this data continues to be available in a disaster recovery scenario, tomorrow or decades in the future. And we strive to share this data in powerful ways, including truly immersive experiences in Virtual Reality that convey the power of these places, transporting users that may never have a chance to experience them and inspiring others to make the journey.

Investing, advising, incubating.

- Hired by Nokia following the acquisition of earthmine to serve as Vice President of Reality Capture and Processing.- Led a multidisciplinary team spanning hardware and software engineering, operations, and support to develop a globally scalable solution for data capture from street-level, aerial, and satellite platforms.- Pioneered the automated extraction of map features to support map creation across HERE's diverse product portfolio.- Oversaw the deployment of data capture solutions, contributing to HERE's position as a leader in mapping and location data.

- Spearheaded the establishment and growth of the Reality Capture and Processing division, positioning HERE as a leader in the field.- Developed strategic initiatives to enhance data capture capabilities and drive innovation in the creation of high-quality, accurate maps.- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of reality capture technology into HERE's product offerings.

- Co-founded and led earthmine, a pioneering 3D street-mapping company, from its inception to acquisition.- Oversaw the development and launch of a comprehensive 3D street-level imagery solution, encompassing capture hardware, cloud-based platform, client software, and developer tools.- Successfully serviced a global client base, including consumer, government, and enterprise customers, and expanded the company's presence in international markets.- Achieved successful exit through acquisition by Nokia, enhancing the company's position in the mapping industry and leading to the integration of earthmine's technology into Nokia's mapping company, HERE​.

- Led the instruction of Surveying and Geomatics in the Civil and Environmental EngineeringDepartment. - Developed new curriculum combining the instruction of surveying and cartographyprinciples and methods in conjunction with advanced data capture and analysis.

- Developed a process and methodology for the collection of digital heritage and archaeological data and led a team in the deployment of this methodology to document heritage sites across the world.- Built and led an engineering team that developed and launched a web portal (cyark.org) for the dissemination of this data targeting users in site preservation, site management and education.
