~Rita has Master's degree in Education and a Bachelors in Human Development. She is a certified Yoga Instructor, Nutrition Educator, and Cycling Coach. Rita began teaching yoga professionally in 2005. It was soon thereafter she began leading classes for cyclists at Trek Dirt Series, Sea Otter Classic, Outerbike, and other outdoor yoga inspired events.~From the age of 3, Rita has practiced Iyengar and Kriya yoga. A practice which helps anyone gain good health, a strong core, intellectual clarity, and emotional calm. This lifelong practice of healthy living inspired her to a notable athletic career in college as a multi-sport athlete and mountain bike racer. She especially enjoys sharing her yoga with other athletes who, like herself, find physical advantages and a mental edge in training and daily workouts. People of all ages and skill levels endorse Rita’s instruction and personal attention in class.~She finds the right challenge and inspiration for each person. Her passion for wellness and education link together an awareness and understanding towards meeting long term goals for the body and mind. The aspect that drives her in inspiring others is living mindful, by encouraging people to eat well, staying active and centering your thoughts and actions around gratitude. Rita is a proud mother and resident of Albuquerque, NM since 2009. Originally, born and raised along California's beautiful coastline.
