Rita has worked as a Human Resources executive in a prominent Long Island global corporation for over 20 years overseeing Human Resources for their Nassau and Suffolk county locations. During her tenure she gained expertise in the field of recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, performance management and compensation. Since 2001 Rita has held the position of Director of the Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA-LI), also serving on their Executive Board and recently elected Chair of Board for year 2015. She is liaison to the HIA-LI Health Care and Young Professionals Committees. Rita served as Chair of the Suffolk County Workforce Investment Board after receiving an appointment for that position by Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy.Most recently, Rita was asked to co-chair the STEM Hub's Regional Industry Council for Manufacturing, working closely with business and education to help bring real industry experience to the classrooms of Long Island.Rita received state recognition for her internship programs and an award from the Long Island Works Coalition for her vision and collaboration of business and education. She was honored by the HIA-LI as one of "Those Who Make a Difference", and was asked to be an Honoree at the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women's Luncheon in February 2017. Rita was also honored by Long Island Business News as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women on Long Island.Rita currently offers her expertise in assisting clients with every facet of Human Resources development, often working on-site with clients and doing project work.
