Oversee the sales department of a local branch of a a world-wide company. Responsible for the daily activity and productivity of 20+ sales people. Plan and execute daily and weekly sales meetings. Plan and implement daily, weekly and monthly sales contests. Design promotional sales material for use on sales calls. Report weekly to the Regional Manager.

Responsible for managing a team of 8+ telemarketers as well as oversee trade shows and establish our brand at local events. Developed a winning team that created a 200% increase in sales calls, breaking the record multiple times (my record remains to be broken). Nurtured and developed several key members who have gone on to manage Marketing Departments at our other Louisiana outlets. Created, developed and implemented sales and marketing campaigns from the ground up including the planning stage, graphics and promotion. This increased the company's "brand awareness" by leaps and bounds.

Best job ever! I got to teach brand new sales people how to sell and market our product from the ground up. Teaching "green" people how to earn a living in direct sales and watching them grow as sales people is very rewarding. I taught our new representatives all about our business and the business of selling from the ground up, most of them having no prior sales experience. This included mentoring and coaching both one-on-one and in group settings. Additionally, interviewing and hiring new sales people was part of my role. I learned as much about people and the business as they did and I am forever grateful to have had that role in our industry.
