Provided implementation support for JD Edwards 9.3 (World Soft) upgrade. Established "formal" Change Management procedures and tools for JDE development. Own full life cycle from requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment to support for AS400/iSeries platform hosting JD Edward's ERP solution and ancillary systems (including Varsity Ship, TL Ashford, Trusted Link, RJS and DC Link.). Lead process improvements in key areas such as: JDE and Web Reporting interfaces, HPI's custom Forecast Entry/Inquiry and daily refreshes. Reengineered batch EDI in the area of 850 (Purchase Orders) and 856 (ASN) processing to support JD Edwards, Trusted Link, Varsity Ship BOL and e- Commerce SOS integration; Introduction of EDI 753/754 (Routing Requests/Instructions) and EDI 846 (Inventory Feeds). Initial Onboarding / Application Development initiative with major eCommerce customers (including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, Granger/Zoro). As well as providing daily IT support for corporate, and all manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Managing an IT staff of six we support 1800+ users across a 120 acre campus with 1.5 million square feet of automotive component manufacturing. With the present workload, this is a fast pace multitasking environment. My focus over the first three and a half years have been to rebuild the current IT Staff while establishing and documenting formal IT Internal Control to meet JSOX compliance and to incorporate strategic plans to upgrade a number of NDI's obsolete systems. The last couple of years I've also focused in a Project Management role for the following initiatives. (1) Upgrading the Daifuku inventory rack solution to the current WRx Inventory Management systems. (2) Various data center environmental improvements including the installation of a new generator and upgraded UPS solution. (3) Managing the current iSeries Power 7 hardware/operating system upgrade which also included the upgrade of existing application software such as TL Ashford, Formsprint and Spool Explorer compatible V7R1 iSeries operating system levels. As well as implementing new iSeries operational and development tools such as Interactive SQL, AS/400 Robot, Standguard, IBM BMRS and IBM Rational Toolset. (4) Conducting the initial evaluation for the upcoming VoiP telecom replacement of their existing Avaya/ Spectralink phone system.    Daily application support included JD Edwards World 7.3 (Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing modules); ICS RF Smart; TL Ashford Bar Code Labeling; DocPath Resolution AS/400 Faxing; ICS FormsPrint; Daifuku WRx; Crystal Reporting; and InFor SupplyWeb.

Coleman acquired Woods Industries through an asset purchase. The last 7 months with the company before they closed the Indy location, my primary focused was on migrating Wood's JD Edwards 7.3 databases into Coleman's Mt. Prospect, IL corporate systems in preparation to relocate the business to their corporate office and close the Wood's US facilities down. I played a key role in this transition by remaining until the end continuing to support Wood's day-to-day IT operations while other employees dropped off. (In fact, only myself and one other Wood's employee where still there up to the last day as we turned out the lights and locking the doors for the last time.) Where I could assist and influence, I helped each of my direct reports fined potential job opportunities and had a 100% success rate with them finding alternative employment before the company actual closed.

Began in 1997as Application Development Manager and Co-Project Lead implementing Oracle-JD Edwards ERP system supporting Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing functions integrated with AS/400 solutions such as Manhattan Associates-Logistics Pro (Warehouse & Traffic); Silvon-Data Tracker (Data Warehouse); Sterling Commerce-Gentran (EDI); nuBridges (AS1, AS2 & 1Sync/UccNet); Infinium (Payroll & HR); ICS-FormsPrint; Mark Magic and various custom applications. Supported data interfaces and bolt-on NT apps for Demand Solutions, IQR, Best Fixed Assets, Meridian and Power Center.Promoted to Director, IT in 2002 managing Woods US operations while picking up overall responsibility for company wide IT infrastructures; driving IT strategy; providing leadership to IT Staff; managing departmental budgets; building vendor relationships and negotiating IT hardware, software, telecommunication and service contracts.

Katy Industries, Inc. is a diversified manufacturing company who was the parent company of Woods Industries, Inc. I have assisted in a number of system conversion projects and/or hosted support services for various subsidiaries within their Electrical Division (Woods US, Woods Canada, Woods Shenzhen, GC Electronics, Thorsen Tools, Waldom Electronics and Image Communications) resulting from backoffice consolidations, company acquisitions, mergers and divestitures. In preparation for Sarbaines compliance, I participated on Katy's SOX 404/Internal Audit team. Tasks included the evaluation, implementation, documentation and monitoring of Internal Controls within Woods IT department. As process owner to these controls, worked through several audits conducted with Ernest & Young on Katy's behalf.Final tasks included assisting in dudiligence activities and IT contract reassignments when Katy ultimately sold their Electrical Products Group to Coleman Cable, Inc. the end of 2007.

Positions: Initially as a Senior Systems Analyst; then promoted to System Support Manager for JD Edwards practice. My initial position with the company was as a Senior System Analyst where I was responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable applications during the initial implementation phases of their JD Edwards Financial and LA Systems - Check Writer. After re-organization of the department, I was promoted to the System Support Manager position over all of their financial applications. My responsibilities were then expanded to manage all programmers and consultants working in support of their JD Edwards (7.2 and 7.3) Financial and Job Cost system, Cyborg Payroll system and other custom VAX legacy applications.    During the last year with Simon's the public holding company merged with DeBartolo a major competitor. Through the merger I was a significant player in the system conversion to combine both companies JD Edwards World installs of 6.1 and the upgrade it to release 7.2 while re-engineering custom modifications and interface programs to the new system. During which I was also responsible for setting up and managing multiple JD Edwards environments, defining user security, loading release upgrades, PTF's, etc. as needed.

During my first year of employment worked as a Senior Analyst along with the consulting firm of Price Waterhouse in conversion of an NCR Membership data base to the MMIS (Membership Management Information System) on the AS/400 platform.    The second year with the Legion I was promoted to the Application Support Manager position where I was responsible for managing both in-house programmers and outside contract programmers in support of the MMIS system.    During the third year, the Legion had begun offering full-service bureau data services to its direct marketing subsidiary company HP Direct and Promotion Management. I had the opportunity to move into a Senor Product Engineering Analyst role where I was responsible for providing technical support to HPPM and their clients. This has allowed me to get back into the end user environment and help determine data processing needs, while still managing and implementing application projects.    Over the last year I had accepted the role as the Project & Systems Manager. The responsibility for this position has placed me hand-on in a leadership role or the implementation of two major conversions. First project consisted of converting their ABS Financial Applications on an RS/6000 to Lawson's Financial Applications on the same platform. The second project involved the beta and benchmark test of Commercial Ware's Mozart Catalog Sales Applications. This project involved switching from Sigma Corporation's Controller package (on- line Order Entry/Inventor System) on the RS/6000 UNIX based system to the IBM AS/400 (RPG) platform.

Was responsible for daily hardware and software maintenance for IBM System/38, IBM System/23 and twin ax PC's. During the five years with the company we had gone from a one person DP position to a four-person System/38 shop. I was responsible for pricing, purchasing and overseeing the installation and implementation of their custom Financial, Job Costing, Payroll, Installation and Service Tracking solution on the new system.
