In my role, I assigned stories and photography, coached freelance writers, managed editorial budgets, wrote articles, styled photo shoots, updated social media streams, and oversaw the production of this regional lifestyle magazine serving 24 counties of Western North Carolina.

Guided the creation of the Asheville Citizen-Times’s magazine division, by launching two monthly magazines, Blue Mountain Living and Mountain Maturity, and revamping WNC Parent.

Promoted from copy editor to team leader responsible for creation of newspaper’s final daily print edition.• Earned Manager of the Year award for team leadership
