After graduating from the School of Church Music in Singapore Bible College, I worked as the Anglican Diocese Music Director in Sabah for 2 years, before serving as a full-time missionary in Thailand from 1994 to 2006. Since relocating to Singapore, I taught piano, and conducted Kinder Beat and Encore On Keys enrichment classes in the local kindergartens. Music Matters was eventually founded in 2011, a platform for the distribution of music materials and teachers training. In 2017, In collaboration with Encore Music Education in Australia, Music Matters started an online music competition for Singapore teachers called "Are you an Encore Star?" which has now grown into an international competition involving participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia. In 2024, Boogie Mites, a music program from the United Kingdom that caters to music for babies all the way to K2 children was included in our offering.I spend my time between giving teachers training and talks, giving individual piano lessons and promoting both Encore for piano learning and Boogie Mites for those who needs a babies music program.
