Creating excitement for future careers, instilling a drive to succeed, providing skills for adaptingto an ever-changing work environment, and developing critical thinking and problem solvingskills are the guiding factors in my academic activities and curriculum.Through a combination of innovative and traditional methods I create an atmosphere in theclassroom and on-line that challenges students to think, make decisions and implement theirideas. I create a stimulating learning environment for the students through an interactiveteaching style incorporating analysis of current events, use of applicable career-related software,group discussions and guest speakers.I also feel that students can learn and gain valuable insight outside of the classroom throughmembership in career-related associations. I encourage student memberships and attendance togain professional insight, build a strong network and to realize that learning is a lifelong journey.Through my enthusiasm for teaching I create in the classroom an environment that encouragesstudents to ask questions, learn from each other and gain the knowledge and skills necessary tobe successful graduates and business professionals.
