I’m Rita, the creator and founder of the Makeup Doctor brand and online makeup tools company Makeup Musthaves.Where did it all start? I think for me it was back when I was just nine years old when I was lucky enough to meet and interview Anita Roddick, for a class project to develop a beauty product. I still remember standing in her office and thinking ‘how amazing is this?’Inspired by Anita I started out my career working in retail in beauty. I worked for some of the biggest brands and went on to do a Business Management degree. I continued to work for premium brands and started off on a competitive (the apprentice style) graduate scheme presenting directly to CEOs and Directors through which i was appointed before its' completion. In my first role i was tasked with growth, team development and turned underperforming businesses into sucesses. As the years went on I was promoted and began managing larger businesses and then multiple businesses. I managed teams of over 50 people and up to 15 stores at a time, with varying turnovers. The atonomy in my last role meant I could really make a difference both through my strategy and my leadership style. I really love seeing businesses grow. My experience is what has lead me to run the businesses i have now. Makeup Doctor is an impartial coaching practice; helping women to build confidence, change their mindset, change their habits and see a physical difference in how they appear longterm. The business has grown during the initial 18 months to include an online coaching element. Makeup Musthaves launched at the end of 2017. What makes Makeup Mushaves different to any other makeup tool brand? Using my years of expertise working with makeup artists and the everyday woman, each product has been specially designed to make application simpler and more effective. Our ethos is MAKEUP MADE EASY and we are an edcational brand focusing on the why behind makeup to simplify application!
