Rita Peres has a PhD in economics and business sciences and is a senior lecturer in management at the Estoril Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies. She was vice-president at the Estoril Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies between 2018 and 2022, where she coordinated two research centres, the Centre for Research, Development and Innovation (CIDI) and the Centre for Research, Development and Innovation in Estoril Tourism (CiTUR). She has published scientific papers in tourism journals and has written book chapters, as well as organizing and participating in various scientific events. She has supervised several master's theses and a PhD thesis. She researches and lectures in the area(s) of social sciences and management with emphasis on tourism, destination marketing and consumer behaviour, and digital marketing and new technologies. She was a member of the coordinating and executive committee of the Master’s Degree in Tourism and is currently a member of the coordinating and executive committee of the Master’s Degree in Hotel Management at Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies.
