Set up of SBM Offshore in Portugal (Porto). Without previous presence in the Country, I've coordinated and supported, first as an external consultant and then as employee, the implementation of the Company in Portugal. Under this project, there were launched in Portugal 2 new Business Areas: an Operations Regional Headquarter and a Corporate and Business Solutions Center.First, I've coordinated the necessary steps to create a new legal entity in Portugal, as well as I've selected the providers and services needed to start operating the Company (Insurances, Payroll, Company Car, Legal support, relocation, Communication, Office permisses, Recruitment,...).Then the focus was on the fulfillment of an ambitious recruitment plan (May/22 to Dec/24 = 300 employees), including the onboarding plan that would allow to wellcome a big number of newcomers arriving at the same time, ensuring the needed working conditions were there for them.As Country General Manager & HR Manager I was responsible for internal and external communication , ensuring local compliance, as well as ensuring the appropriate deplyment of HR policies & procedures.
