I have 10 years of experience assisting with complex environmental damage assessments across the United States, including natural resource damage assessments (NRDAs) under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Oil Pollution Act (OPA). I specialize in the assessment of ecological and groundwater losses due to hazardous substance releases as well as data management strategies to support these efforts. My experience has been developed through wide-ranging case work spanning complicated industrial and mining sites to urban river and coastal systems. I also assist natural resource trustees in evaluating and scaling restoration projects to compensate for such injuries, successfully linking injury quantification to compensation on behalf of the public. As a result of this experience, I regularly support federal, state, and tribal clients with organizing long-term case strategies and implementing those strategies.

  I provide start-to-finish support to federal, state, and tribal clients who are undertaking natural resource damage assessments. My strong background in geological sciences, research, and data analysis lends itself to a variety of technical topics within Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA). For example, I regularly standardize and manage large data sets using Microsoft Access, Python, and SQL-based programs. Using these data, I have conducted analyses for and drafted major milestone reports required under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) NRDA regulations (e.g., Preassessment Screens, Damage Assessment Plans, and Restoration and Compensation Determination Plans). I have also supported claims brought under non-federal statutes, including tort-based claims and bankruptcy proceedings.
