I am currently a senior attending the University of Texas at Dallas and plan on graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Accounting in May 2022. I am a proud member of the Professional Program in Accounting which will allow me to earn my Master of Science in May 2023 and sit for the CPA exam. As a student pursuing a CPA certification, I know that experience is key and would love to find a 2022 Spring accounting internship that will use and expand on my current skill set. I chose accounting as my major because I believe it is a great career that will allow me to connect with new people while helping them with their finances and one where I will be able to grow as a person. I am a very charismatic person who loves engaging with those around me and I am not afraid to take risks and learn new things. I definitely enjoy giving back to the community as a mentor in the Transfer Mentor Program, through volunteer events with Beta Alpha Psi, and as a tax preparer and translator through VITA. Currently, I am working full-time at In-N-Out Burger as a cook (level 6) and I love it! This job has definitely helped me develop as a leader by improving my time management skills, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking skills. Throughout my three years with the company, I have learned so much about operating the business such as how to do settlements, deposits, consolidation, and store projections. Additionally, as the store trainer, I enjoy passing down my knowledge to the new hires while making them feel like part of our family. What I enjoy the most is that I get to provide customers with a service that will put a smile on their faces so that they want to come back and dine with us.
