In my lifetime, I've had the opportunity to experience a variety of positions - but all seemed to revolve around helping people, volunteerism and education in one form or another. While living in Tennessee, I became involved with the local law enforcement which lead to my becoming a Reserve Police Officer both in TN and in a subsequent move to South Carolina. My husband, too, serves as a Reserve Officer. What, you may ask, is a Reserve Police Officer? It is an individual who volunteers to serve their community (for free!!) in a law enforcement capacity.This spirit of volunteerism and helping created a natural transition to the real estate field. Many have the mistaken impression that real estate involves "sales". My philosophy is real estate involves education, not sales. I am helping people by teaching them what they need to know to make the largest purchase of their life. The professional phrase is "As a licensed agent, I am responsible for all phases of the buying/selling process from implementation to completion. I provide knowledge, advice and consultative services to my clients to lead to a successful conclusion of their transaction."In my "spare" time, I still strongly support law enforcement efforts and have recently begun working with a Golden Retriever rescue group. For several years, I have served on the Board of a foundation dedicated to supporting a residential summer camp for individuals with cognitive disabilities and a foundation supporting faith-based health initiatives.
