Devised and developed the Carbon Coach Management programme online which is held up as an exemplar in the Industry. Established this Centre of Excellence for Environmental Training and Consultancy services for 22 years. It was trusted by industry to provide the key information, advice and guidance. Assisted all industries meet the growing demands of sustainable practices, the Academy had a national and international presence. The work spanned both the private and public sector, developing programmes to improve sustainable practices in business and educate individuals.The Academy has also worked with various Universities in the UK on a number of different environmental management training projects these include University of Durham, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Northumbria, University of Sunderland, and Teesside University. We are also working with partners in Spain, Germany, France, and Poland on EU funded programmes to improve their environmental performance. These included the University of Koblenz and Landau in Germany.Project Director for numerous programmes these include:Environmental Management Support Initiative (EMSI) 2012 – 2015 - The Academy ran this £1.1 million ERDF funded programme from March 2012 to September 2015. We recruited 120 companies to improve their environmental performance in areas of environmental management to ISO14001, energy, waste, water and carbon management. This has been held up as an exemplar in environmental management and provides a good reporting structure to collect data as evidence of improvement. BRICS – Building Construction Skills Nationally for DEFRA Nationally. An innovative project funded by the Regional Adult Skills Pilot Programme offered an NVQ level 1 and Level 4 Qualification in Environmental Management nearly 500 individuals in the construction industry and the programme received an award for Sustainable Development from the Government’s ESF division. .
