These past 15 years I have been dedicated to learning about businesses and the role indirect taxes play. I would emphasise two main achievements (and yet constant goals):1. If the aim is to add value and provide tax effective guidance, it is crucial to know the Client’s business and keep-up with relevant tax developments. More accurately, learning about the “big picture” but focusing on the details of the task ahead;2. Don’t being afraid to ask, taking due time to listen and being aware that sometimes what you believe you know and what you may yet have to learn and discover may lead surprisingly different outcomes.I am enthusiastic about my work and believe there is always something that can be done better. I like challenges and am aware that my main achievements are a result of being a team-player, a passionate learner and "puzzle solver".Any views expressed reflect the individual opinion of the author.
