She has held fellowships at institutions like The Aspen Institute, The Salzburg Global Forum and The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, applying her imagination to issues of security, culture, and ethics. As an investigative journalist she spent six months in the Gulf Coast investigating corporate profiteering after Hurricane Katrina. She is currently a resident research fellow at The Center for Engineered Natural Intelligence and the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination at UC San Diego.
