About Ritam Dutta, Ph.D
I am an experienced and committed communication educator in English with more than 12 years of teaching experience both in India and U.S.A. Although I have mostly taught Business English and Communicative English in various capacities since 2006, I have also sole-taught a course on 'Teaching American Children's Literature' to American student-teachers as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Pennsylvania State University for three years. And in 2008, as a recipient of the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship, I also taught Bengali at the Indiana University in Bloomington, USA. Apart from learning and teaching languages, I am also a writer and am academically interested in (hidden) pedagogy, communication, informal learning, culture studies and literature, particularly comparative literature and children’s literature. I am currently seeking a full-time teaching position where I can apply my knowledge and skills for continuous improvement of both myself and my students.
