About Rita Moltzan

I am currently a LINC CLB 2 Instructor at NorQuest College. I teach in a blended program, 3 days face-to-face, and two days online: language instruction and settlement classes to adult newcomers to Canada. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's in Reading and Literacy. I have over 30 years of experience in education, with a focus on literacy and ELL. In my international career, I have taught students from Pre-K through grade 12 as well as managed a library in three different countries.I am passionate about creating engaging, real-world, task-based lessons that foster a love of learning and a sense of success in my students. I successfully navigate Google Suite, Microsoft 360, Avenue and Moodle, to deliver interactive and differentiated instruction. I also collaborate with students, colleagues and parents to support students' academic and social development. I have lived and worked in various countries- Jordan, South Africa, Indonesia, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Malaysia- and I value the diversity and richness of cultures and perspectives that I encounter in my teaching role.
