Community Services Manager
CurrentFriends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) is one of many animal welfare organizations shifting its priorities from the control and warehousing of pets without people, and adopting a “prevention services” model that promotes foster, adoption, and relationship continuity through a host of human-animal support services (HASS). As Community Services Manager, I am currently leading the launch of our new “Healthy Pets Healthy People” program. My main goal is to keep people and their pets together, healthy, and without judgement, through a host of community services such as low-cost and/or free community support services, increased efficiency in reuniting lost pets with their people, emergency preparation and planning, and access to low-cost or free veterinary and behavior resources.
