My role was to study the existing data flow and scripts used on Gentran Server for Unix as well as on GIS 4.3 and design and develop new Business Processes that can replace the existing scripts. Studied existing processes and services in use on the GIS 4.3 and Gentran Server for Unix 5.3. Determined processes and services which will need to for use with SI 5.2.5. Installed SI 5.2.5 server in cluster in Dev, QA and Prod on red hat Linux with Oracle 11g. Fine tuned server for optimum performance. Installed Sterling File Gateway and configured community, partners, groups, mailboxes, Channels and templates. Added new file gateway protocol for FSA handling. Investigated current issues on GIS 4.3 server and suggested configuration changes for performance enhancement. Improved server and process performance by reallocating Queues, threads and changing persistence on business processes. Designed and coded business processes for inbound and outbound EDI, Flat File, XML and MFT flows using BPML and GIS modeler. Configured and created new web services to provide various application integration. Developed WSDL and web service calls in SI using SOA message handlers. Worked with business teams to identify integration points and develop business processes to transform messages using XSLT. Developed document extraction and transaction maps to translate documents in a predefined format. Build the mailboxes and routing channels from SFG to route the messages to WMB. Build custom tables for different protocols in Oracle RAC and calling them using light weight JDBC adapter to trigger the files to backend applications.  Used XSLT to define the parameters to get from document info service and associate that to SMTP to send alert email notifications. Created test plans for load and performance tests with twice the daily EDI volume  Involved in production support, trouble-shooting the day to day issues of the application
