I have extensive research experience in the physical layer of wireless communication systems encompassing detection, estimation, signal design, and error control coding. In my current role at Qualcomm I have worked on developing advanced interference canceling receivers and synchronization systems for LTE downlink. My work has involved theoretical algorithm design with Matlab and working with the Firmware and Hardware teams for fixed point implementation, optimization, and verification. I have previously worked on Precision Timing Protocol and designed a Kalman Filtering based synchronization module for wireless access points and several projects related to optimization and enhancement of radio access networks. As part of my graduate course work, I have covered communication theory, modern algebra, functional and harmonic analysis, and optimization, which have been instrumental in developing a thorough understanding of the theoretical principles underlying the communication technologies that I work with every day.
