IT ENVIRONMENTResponsible for Managed Security Services and Data Centre Network Services for Westpac. Role involves architecture review, leading and people management of technical teams, end to end operational ownership, service delivery across multiple data centres services and cost management. Key areas of responsibility are:- Design authority and technology roadmap reviews and role of a trusted advisor to Westpac- Operational responsibility for four data centres, including disaster recovery, change management and 24x7 operations.- Relationship with key Client and stakeholders.- People management, mentoring, forecasting, performance management.- Attainment of contract service levels.- Achieve year on year cost reductions and directions for cost reduction strategies.- Build business relationships with key Westpac stakeholders to ensure IBM is delivering services that support business strategies.- Create business cases for cost reduction directions and platform enhancements.- Own delivery of the initiatives in the technical plan agreed with Westpac designed to improve operating efficiency, refresh & rationalise.- Own audit outcomes in network services.- Build & own relationships with 3rd party suppliers and VendorsOther responsibilities include:- Manage risks and issues across service delivery- Situation management for major impact incidents- Represent the service lines for incremental business, new acquisitions or new scope- Service improvement initiatives to improve the team’s performance and quality metrics.

Prior to 2004 I was Senior Network and Security Engineer and Team Leader Responsibilities included:- Installed, configure, trouble shoot and run network security infrastructure and technologies. Built and maintained following technologies: Checkpoint firewalls, RSA Ace authentication, Websense, Sun proxys, Juniper netscreens, Racal encytprors , mail gateways, Cisco switches, Alteon load balancers, Radius servers, Cybergards. Servers and midrange systems.- End to end ownership to upgrade software lifecycle and hardware.- Service delivery and reporting to senior management- Performed Team leader role for Telstra subsidiary, Reach managing and delivering all of their network security IT services
