With an experience of 17 years in IP, my key areas of work include patent prosecution, patent drafting, patentability/invalidity searches, vetting of 5G patents, infringement analysis of SEP patents and more. I am managing a team that works on patent drafting in the field of electronics, AI, ML, medical equipments, IoT, mechanical domains across various jurisdictions, especially, applications being filed in India, US, and Europe, where our team members are located in-house as well as few are outsourced. As part of the technical team, I am responsible to handle the inflow of case volumes, handling prosecution, guiding the team to improve upon addressing of objections in office actions (FERs), attending oral hearings before the Patent Office on behalf of top notch companies and inventors for their inventions. I handle client queries and corresponding corrective actions, especially for top telecom companies. From a business standpoint, I meet inventors to understand their inventions and provide techno-legal advice based on their queries, encourage them to file more patents, and also conduct IP awareness sessions in various business areas to impart the importance of patents on regular basis.As part of my previous experience, I worked directly with new customers & partners, and did business development by meeting clients and attending international IP conferences such as: APAA, AIPLA, AIPPI, IPO and have been a member of various International IP conventions. I have been recently helping software and telecom companies with patent description review and prior art search for filing in the US.
