-Research assistant at Hoyo labs, a part of the STRIVE study at NC State University.-(STRIVE) aims to determine whether exposure to environmental contaminants such as Cadmium, either alone or with other toxic metals and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs), increases the risk of progression from early stage liver disease to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver Cancer.-Role includes:Processing blood, urine, saliva, plasma, ccfdna, whole blood, buffy coat, and water samples received from the participants of the study in the Lab using pipettes and a centrifuge.-Processing and entering data using a software called Open specimen.-Collect and analyze survey data.-Create community packets to be sent to research participants. Samples sent through community packets are then processed.
