I have worked at Walmart for almost 4 years. While I was there I was given many opportunities to get a little of everything. I was trained on how to be professional, compassionate, punctual and also developed organizational skills. Apart from my soft skills, I also had the opportunity to gain microbiology laboratory skills by working at the University of Manitoba microbiology labs (BSL-1,2 and 3) as a part of many group projects. In that time I gained laboratory skills like handling lab equipment, sterilizing and different molecular and cell biology techniques. Microbiology is my passion and what fascinates me about microbiology is the ability of these microorganisms to do so much work with so little inside their nuclei.
