-Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Document patients'​ medical history and vitals in-EPIC EMR system proficient. -Under proper supervision by a Physician and/or Physician Assistant, perform specimen collection and simple laboratory testing common to San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health, such as: urinalysis, blood glucose by finger sticks, give injections (ID, IM, SC), phlebotomy procedures, and EKG's.-Conduct King-Devick concussion screening test and BTrackS balance test.-Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.-Engage patients, demonstrate personal responsibility and respect for patients, and their families in professional appearance.-Perform duties in a manner that is culturally and, if applicable, linguistically appropriate.-Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of exam rooms and stock necessary supplies or material as needed-Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with Supervisors, staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service. -Respect patients'​ rights to privacy and confidentiality. -Maintain professional standards and procedures ensuring compliance with San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health's policies and applicable regulations.

Reviewed document management system for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of health data. Used Laserfiche database to categorize patient information for insurance reimbursement purposes, company research and maintain patients’ medical testing histories. Daily data entry of patient demographic and insurance information into XIFIN database for medical claims. Performed eligibility verification on Medicare, Medicaid, and government payers and commercial transactions. Resolved clearinghouse payer message responses by applying corrected information in the XIFIN application. Researched insurance websites for patient eligibility and update accounts. Maintained strict confidentiality; adhered to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
