Early stage investor in this Canadian fintech company which uses non-traditional personal and financial data and applies AI to these to create an alternative credit rating system for invisible credit groups such as recent grads and immigrants. It uses this information to make commercial and personal loans to individuals in these under-served groups, thereby enabling the financial inclusion of previously excluded groups, while reducing credit risk and defaults on account of its highly reliable and nuanced rating system.

Advisor to the AIA 2013 project in New York exploring comparative urban development in Asian cities, titled "Practical Utopias: Global Urbanism in Hong Kong,Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo". The year-long project culminated in a public exhibition which examined and presented a body of work by American and other international architectural firms in five cities across East Asia. The exhibition explored the region’s rapid urban expansion and the impact of this new urbanism on work-life structures, social interaction, intra-city mobility, and social cohesion.

From 2007-2011, Ritu was on the board of the Asian University for Women Support Foundation. She played a key role in the early years of the university in Bangladesh, for women of varied socio-economic backgrounds from across multiple countries in Asia. She co-led the search process for the University's first two Vice-Chancellors and she served on the Building Committee for the new campus.

As President, Joint Schools Activities, a 501(c)3 organization which promotes inter-school community service and cultural activities in New York City, Ritu strengthened its arts and social engagement programs and expanded diversity on the Board through active recruitment.

A strategic consulting firm which worked with global companies and NGO’s entering India as it opened its economy in the early 90’s. Some of the brands worked on included Frito Lay, Tefal, Bausch & Lomb, Maurya Hotels.
