Graduate Research Assistant
Working under the guidance of Dr. Graca Almeida-Porada and Dr. Chris Porada, my role involves:1. As a key team leader, I provide comprehensive training to lab members in various laboratory techniques. and experimental methodologies. I have directly managed projects for 5 undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, I have trained over 20 peers in laboratory techniques, specializing in molecular assays and cell culture.5. Actively collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams within our institute. Played an important role in transferring experimental knowledge to the translation team as well as contributing to experimental design/SOP development, conducting preliminary experiments, utilizing GLP suites, and engaging in discussions to prepare for the IND application of a cell-gene therapy product to treat hemophilia A. Additionally, I have provided support in procedural tasks, such as assisting in sheep procedures such as blood draws, bone-marrow isolation, in utero transplantation, and necropsy.6. My efforts have resulted in the generation of preliminary data crucial for successful grant applications, including grants from Pfizer Global Medical Grants and an R01 (1R01HL166462-01).7. Committed to continual growth and improvement, actively seeking new training opportunities to enhance my skills, including ventures such as AI model development using the Aiforia platform and R coding for data analysis and representation.Refer to the projects section for further information.
