As a masters student in biomedical engineering at Arizona State University, I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems in health and medicine. I expect to graduate by summer 2024 with a strong foundation in biomedical engineering principles, methods, and applications.I am also a research aide at the Institute for Science Technology and Engineering, where I contribute to the study of serpins, a superfamily of proteins that are involved in various biological functions and diseases. I have co-authored a review article on the evolution, categories, and recent discoveries of serpins, which was published in EMBO Molecular Medicine in 2023. I use data analysis, written communication, and critical thinking skills to conduct literature review, synthesize information, and present findings.My greatest strength is helping others find solutions, which motivates me to pursue a career in biomedical engineering. I am eager to learn from experts, collaborate with peers, and apply my engineering mind to innovate and improve the quality of life for people and communities.
