I completed the LEDA Summer Institute virtually in the summer before my senior year, receiving college guidance and new academic skills. As an undergraduate student, LEDA primarily provides me with support networks through LEDA Peer Mentors and community events.

I co-supervised a team of ~10 fellows to draft environmental policy proposals on the local, state, and federal levels. Past proposals have been introduced in committee in the Virginia House of Delegates, the Maine state legislature, and the US Congress.

I established and supported academic programs that help Stanford undergraduate students. These included planning study hall sessions, curating academic trainings, and facilitating student-centered events. I also worked specifically on educational equity issues by creating resources for FLI students.

I was responsible for supporting the Chair in their duties leading the state chapter. The largest initiative we planned was a town hall with Cory Booker, which brought out upwards of 200 people. We also supported local chapters with action resources, voter registration plans, and regional events.

I led this chapter of approximately thirty members throughout high school. Our largest initiative was holding the largest climate strike in Camden, New Jersey, where we were able to sway the city council to vote affirmatively on climate legislation via the pressure of 400+ protestors. Additionally, we held fundraising events for GoFundMes and chapter support, canvassed during the 2019 and 2020 election seasons, and registered over 200 people at our high school to vote.

I compiled press contacts, wrote press releases, and pushed out media advisories based on the climate work that YCAT executed. Additionally, we created and facilitated press trainings for local hubs to expand their own media presence.
