In addition, to ensure the safe and optimised operation of the HGU SMR by analysing the process and lab data of the plant, I have worked on the following projects:Air-preheater replacement:•Performed adequacy check of Waste Heat Section for installing high capacity APH using ProMAX; prepared process datasheet of Air Preheater.•Collaborated with the Engineering, Inspection and Mechanical maintenance team to give technical clearance for selecting APH.BFW pump-turbine to motor replacement (Annual Savings: INR 70 lakhs)•Performed basic engineering and PHA HAZOP of the energy-saving scheme.•Prepared control valve and flow element process datasheet and updated the P&ID.H2 fuel commissioning:•Prepared P&ID, line list and process data sheet of control valve and flow element.•Carried out PHA HAZOP, PSSR and post-performance monitoring of the unit.DHDT-2 shutdown and catalyst loading•Carried out inspection of vessels, heat exchangers and columns in collaboration with the Inspection, Mechanical maintenance and Operation team to ensure equipment integrity.•Catalyst loading and sulfiding of DHDT-2 reactor.CDU/VDU APC migration projectWith the joint effort of the Honeywell APC engineer and AVEVA RTO engineer:•Re-developed and deployed inferential to predict product quality of various petroleum products.•Commissioned Honeywell RMPCT APC software in CDU/VDU. •Integrated APC and Real-Time Optimisation (RTO) software to increase the yield of high-cost products and minimise energy consumption.HGU APC migration project•Along with the Honeywell APC engineer, commissioned and performed the SAT of Honeywell RMPCT APC software in HGU to reduce throughput variation and H2 flaring.•Developed and implemented logic to automatically control the load of both trains of HGU and maintained critical parameters such as Reformer outlet temperature, excess O2 and reformer draft.
