I am passionate about technology, education, and continuous learning. I find joy in exploring new domains, from public speaking and software development to gaming and reading. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India. My PhD focused on using evolutionary algorithms for computer security, and I earned my Master's in Cyber Security from Amrita University, Coimbatore. Before that, I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at Pondicherry University and briefly worked with a major multinational corporation before returning to academia.My research interests encompass Cyber Security, Meta-heuristic Algorithms, Neuroevolution, and Computing Education. I enjoy collaborating on innovative projects and guiding students in building software products for academic purposes and competitions like hackathons and Capture the Flag (CTF) contests.I have received several awards and recognitions, including Intel oneAPI Innovator (2024), the Amrita Innovation and Research Award (2021), and IEEE Section Secretary (2024-2026). I also served as a mentor in competitions like the Smart India Hackathon and the UNESCO “CodetheCurve” Hackathon. Besides my academic work, I've contributed to software projects like Flowgramming, a graphical authoring tool, and HoptoP Online Judge, a platform for programming skill development.In addition to research, I have delivered invited talks on topics such as Quantum Computing, Big Data Security, and Security in Python at various academic events. These experiences have allowed me to connect with a broader audience and share my knowledge. My research publications cover a range of topics, including cyber security, evolutionary algorithms, malware evolution, and computing education.Overall, I am driven by innovation and a desire to empower the next generation of engineers and researchers.
