My name is Riya, and I am an international Drexel University student passionate about User Experience & Interaction Design. My goal is to elevate user experiences through intuitive yet exquisite designs.My curiosity in the field started with an eating disorder.That was when I learned the role of media in building the human mind. I decided to dive deep into the topic and investigated the effect media culture had on my country. During the research, I realized how digital influence spreads to political, economic, cultural, and other aspects of world development. I was amused by the power of technology in shaping humanity the way we want it to be. Though, what makes the technologies powerful is UX/UI - the combination of eye-catching yet problem-solving designs.And I strive to be a person who participates in the creative process of developing aesthetic human-centered ideas.As a Freelance Graphic Designer, I have developed logotypes and corporate identities for commercial organizations, as well as designed price lists, brand books, posters, album covers, and book covers. I have also worked as a Social Media Marketing Specialist for a milk company and a burger chain, where I was responsible for content planning, data analysis, research, designing stories and publications, photoshoots, video shoots, and blog post writing.I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Drexel University, where I have been awarded the Dean's List for outstanding academic performance. I am passionate about the role of media and technology in building the human mind and shaping humanity. I aim to be a responsible and creative multimedia creator, who can develop aesthetic and human-centered solutions. I am interested in participating in research projects and looking for opportunities that will allow me to improve my analytical, technical, and marketing skills, as well as my teamwork, communication, and organization skills.
