Practices and teaches skills of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). NVC is a way to improve connection in personal and professional relationships research and is used to prevent and resolve conflict. Presented trainings to individuals and groups as large as 300 participants. NVC was created by Marshall B. Rosenberg, author of Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life.

Successfully facilitated dispute resolution in civil cases for small-claims courts of the Bernalillo Country, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Harris County, Houston, Texas. Provides mediation service and conflict management strategies for workplace disputes. Credentialed family and divorce mediator.

Advocates for and resolves problems of residents living at a 200-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility in Houston, Texas. Educates facility administrators, care providers, residents and their family members about long-term care resident rights and approved care practices.

Program EvaluatorDesigned and produced mixed-methods evaluation projects and research studies for program improvement and grant-funding compliance for Albuquerque Public Schools, and the Houston Independent School District. Informed program and policy decision makers by reporting findings from formative and summative evaluations. Produced easily consumable ad hoc and annual evaluation reports. Mentors and provides consultation services for program evaluation planning and survey design projects in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Hawaii.Research StatisticianCompiled, modeled and managed large databases to complete sophisticated analyses designed to answer status, growth and predication questions for a broad spectrum of evaluation and compliance projects. Demonstrated expertise using IBM SPSS Statistics and Modeler as senior statistician. Tutored masters and doctoral students in advanced statistical methods.

Served as instructor of record with sole responsibility for the introductory graduate course “Survey of Research Methods in Education.” Responsibilities included lesson planning, class instruction, student assessment and grading, mentoring and advisement. Served as instructor of record with sole responsibility for an undergraduate course “Human Growth and Development”. Responsibilities included syllabus preparation, lesson planning, instruction, assessment and grading, mentoring and advising a broad spectrum of economically and culturally diverse students.

Wholeheartedly managed a caseload of 115 outpatient geriatric patients with severe mental illness. Founding adviser of the Albuquerque Bridger Program, a peer-to-peer collaborative that assisted mental health consumers access gainful employment, safe housing, and healthy personal relationships.
