I graduated from Binghamton University in 2007 with a Masters Degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Student Affairs and Diversity and in 2006(from Binghamton as well) with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. While at Binghamton University I had the opportunity to study abroad in Africa twice. In 2006 i went to Senegal and in 2007 spent a little over a month in Ghana. I was also a member of J.U.M.P Nation (The Juvenile Urban Multicultural Program) as well as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated! Spring 2003, Rho Xi Chapter. (2007 - 2009) I am currently serving as a success coach/college prep counselor at Groundwork for Success. I have been here for just about 1 year now and have had a wonderful time doing this type of work. I am also pleased to say that all 26 students of the graduationg class of 2008 have been accepted into college for the Fall of 2008. Total it was 45 students accepted into college during my time at GWS.(2010 - 2019) Living in the Dominican Republic and working as a 9th, 11th and 12th Grade History teacher at MC School. This is my 9th year at MCSCHOOL. During the Fall semester (September - December) I teach Writing for Academic Essays at UNIBE and during the January - April months, I teach Introduction to Sociology. I am currently teaching my 6th year at UNIBE. I am also the Writing Coordinator at UNIBE for the Writing Across the Curriculum Program for the BBA/FIU Program.2019 - 2020 : Working at KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy in Newark, NJ. During the 2019-2020 School Year I as a 12th grade Learning Specialist of the English Department. For the 2020-2021 Academic School Year I will be serving as a Senior Seminar Teacher working under KTC (Kipp Through College)2021- CURRENT Academic School Year - College and Career Counselor working with the KIPP Forward
