Prior to the integration with Invesco, I supported the Legal, Risk and Compliance functions as their L&D consultant, having designed and facilitated team workshops, developed learning curriculums, organized management learning sessions, and curated various forms of online content for their learning, to name a few.Since becoming a certified Emergenetics associate, I facilitated over 20 customized workshops for teams across the firm, providing employees with the opportunity to build empathy, trust and team effectiveness through the exploration of personality preferences and their impact on communication, conflict and other aspects of team dynamics.It has been exciting to collaborate with my forward-thinking L&D colleagues to develop workshops and other learning opportunities to bring awareness to skills that are relevant to the Future of Work.

I had the privilege of providing a full spectrum of OD services at the individual, team, departmental, and organizational levels for clients throughout the health system. I was able to help teams and leaders better understand the root causes of team challenges so that we can solve for the actual problems and not its symptoms. By actively listening to employees through focus groups and interviews, I was able to make data-based recommendations and provide relevant services and interventions to resolve challenges such as conflict, role ambiguity, and resistance to change.

What started as a role focusing on facilitating and iteratively improving the new hire orientation turned into an exploration and desire to improve onboarding efforts beyond Day 1. Through engaging a number of stakeholders, from managers to individual contributors, it was clear that there were opportunities to help employees and managers focus on the next 6 months. Insights from post-orientation surveys, feedback from managers across different departments, and researching best practices allowed me to create resources for managers to successfully onboard new hires into their departments. I also had the privilege of expanding the senior leader orientation to cover a broader population of the organization and ensure successful transition of leaders and administrators. Beyond onboarding efforts, I honed my facilitation skills through multiple open enrollment and manager trainings.

I partnered effectively with Sarphatie Education to enlist and communicate with skilled editors who provided writing consultation to prospective undergraduate students. The students' goals and the editors' suggestions needed to be clear in order to enhance their admissions essays, and I served to bridge that gap.

As part of a small team, I provided evidence-based comprehensive sexual education workshops to middle and high-school students of diverse backgrounds, with a focus on STD prevention as well as comprehensive practices for pregnancy prevention. Answering very difficult questions and managing classroom dynamics was no easy feat but enhanced my ability and comfort with facilitation. Additionally, because of Touchstone's inclusive practices, I was proud to selected as a panelist to discuss Touchstone's cultural competency achievements and our inclusion practices to enhance student outcomes at at Office of Adolescent Health Teen Pregnancy Prevention conference.

Knowing the importance of diversity and inclusion, I made efforts to enhance new hire cultural competency training and educate employees on cultures and values, going beyond celebratory events that highlight cultures. For this reason, I recommended the revision of the committee's mission to align with organizational goals and suggested learning initiatives that enhance cultural competency for staff.

With A.K. Rice Insitute's NY affiliate (The New York Center for the Study of Groups, Organizations, and Social Systems), I worked with a team of three to ensure the successful execution of a group relations conference and partnered with consultants to explore conscious and unconscious biases of conference participants and staff. As an associate administrator at the conference, titled "Authority, Leadership & Participation in Groups & Organizational Systems" allowed me to understand the inner workings of an unstructured conference where we lived the group dynamics, and allowed us to understand the unconscious biases that contribute to groups and systems.

During my summer internship at IBM in between the two years of my graduate studies, I engaged in multiple HR projects. For one of my most memorable projects, I collaborated with colleagues to increase the effectiveness of global leadership development program by ensuring culturally inclusive documents, developing and editing feedback tools, and analyzing trends in survey responses. I also put my analytical and structural skills to use by creating a Process Methodology Document to visually depict how to select off-shift employees for delivery centers.

After a year of teaching and showing my dedication to the program and students of Canterbury English, I was promoted into this role and increased efficiency of program operations. In this role, I also advised future and potential teachers from other countries prior to their arrival to ensure a successful cultural and professional transition to Spain.

Ready for a cultural experience living abroad, I learned about the history and culture of Spain through the children and adults I taught on a daily basis. I had the opportunity to become a certified English teacher and spent mornings and evenings teaching English in one-on-one and group settings. My students, which ranged from 3-year-olds learning to speak their dominant language to adults looking to polish their English skills. While knowing English grammar was critical, helping folks build confidence and creating trusting relationships with my students was critical to their learning.I was awarded Silver Teacher of the Year 2007 for Excellence in Teaching at Canterbury English.

I counseled at-risk out-of-school teens and facilitated workshops to improve job readiness skills, most of which included behavioral competencies such as effective communication, time management, and conflict management. I successfully placed at-risk young adults in community service projects, internships, and employment by building connections in the community.
