It all began with yoga. At age 14, I clicked on Lilias, Yoga and You one late night from my bedroom TV, and I felt something click on inside of me.Little did I know this was the start of my 50+ year love affair with yoga and my fascination with how we create wellness from within.I began teaching yoga when my high school gym teacher asked if I could show “those yoga exercises” in gym class once a week. I already knew this was more than exercise.My desire to delve deeper into “what’s going on” inside us humans lead me to study Fine Art at City University NY, then backpack through Europe and the Middle East. i traveled to foreign places alone yet I never felt more connected.When I got home I began a career in communications. For the next 6 years I worked in marketing management for tech companies before starting my marketing consulting firm, RSM Marketing, in 1986.All the while, I kept teaching, learning, practicing yoga and meditation. I explored many modalities of energy medicine and I gained an unshakeable certainty: our natural human state is wellness.In 2016 I published The Blissful Warrior: Living the Paradox of Peace and Passion For Today's Empowered Woman, a memoir/self-health story about walking my talk: applying all the tools of wellbeing to sustain my physical and emotional balance during a very difficult divorce..Then in 2019, everyone lost their balance. A global pandemic shook us up and made us question everything about the way we live, think, and especially how we work: was our lifestyle responsible for our physical, mental and social disconnect? In a world where overwhelm and anxiety are the defaults, where a 24 hour news cycle and constant access to social media create stress and fear, our wellbeing has never been more visible in the workplace.We are in a worldwide mental health crisis. Our physical health continues to decline despite medical advances.I’m passionate about teaching what it takes to be a Blissful Warrior. I created Blissful Warrior workshops, trainings and interactive presentations for businesses and personal wellness seekers. The workplace, where we spend the majority of our time, is where we can make the biggest impact on individual, corporate and global wellbeing.I have taught thousands of people to achieve a sense of their wholeness of health which includes personal satisfaction and vitality. The key is in learning and practicing with accountability.You are never too old, too sick or too late to experience wellbeing; it's vital to a successful workplace, and accessible to everyone.
