Dr. Richard Wagner is a veteran of broadcasting, advertising, and marketing for more than 30 years. From his days as a weatherman to running the first local cable news operation in the US, he has been a producer and reporter of news stories, as well as a producer and host of documentaries and public affairs programming. He was nominated for an EMMY for his station in Atlanta’s coverage of a plane hijacking. With advertising agencies in the Philadelphia and Washington, DC markets, Richard worked on such prestigious products as DuPont Tyvek and Kevlar, the Delaware lottery, and Columbia Gas System. He assisted both agencies in developing their internet capabilities and spent many years as a specialist in site architecture. He was part of the training team for executives on how to deal with crises and media interviewing. As a former reporter, he was considered the “bulldog” on the interview team.His final assignment was as a regional marketing director for the Papa John’s Pizza company. As the senior RMD, Richard handled all the marketing for Papa John’s cooperatives in 21 markets, overseeing budgets in the millions of dollars, managing public relations and training store managers, district vice presidents and franchise owners in crisis communications.Dr. Wagner has a bachelor’s degree in business, graduate level classes in Mass Communication and Communication Theory, an MBA in Marketing and Doctorates in Communications, Theology and Divinity. He lives in center city Philadelphia and is active in public relations, film and television acting.
