I am pursuing a MS Accounting degree at The University of Texas at Dallas, and I am preparing for the CPA exam. For my short-term plan, I want to become an auditor in an accounting firm to gain experience, and after that, I would like to pursue an internal audit in a CPA firm. I finished my undergraduate education in 2016 at Henan University of Economics and Law, which is located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. My undergraduate major was Financial Management, which is closely related to accounting. I have taken courses in cost accounting, tax, and intermediate accounting. In the summer of 2015, I completed an internship in her third year of undergraduate at an accounting firm, Xingan Jin Xin United Accounting Firm. There, as an assistant accountant, I kept accounting books for clients, prepared papers to explain details in journal entries, and prepared audit documentation. During my internship, I learned about the differences between accounting in the real world versus the classroom setting. I was a volunteer with the Chinese Young Volunteers Association from 2012 to 2016. I helped clean streets and went to nursing houses to look after the elderly. I learned the importance of volunteerism and was able to practice my interpersonal skills with the clients.
