Honors Computer Engineering Student.Gap Semester during Spring 2022 to intern at Tesla in Palo Alto, CA.

Represented and served 800+ Honors Engineers. Collaborated with a team of 2 undergraduates to design events to connect students, faculty, Deans and industry leaders.

Attended SWE professional events including Day with Industry, Networking Night and Evening with Engineers. Attending SWE National Conference in November 2020, New Orleans.

Served as a representative of Purdue Honors College through interacting and engaged with prospective students and families through individual visits, "Purdue's For Me", "Forge the Future", and other special events. Provided insight about the college, and Engineering Honors as part of recruitment, high-school visits, campus tours, special events, community service projects, speaking engagements etc.

Organized UAV competition. Implemented UAV active tracking algorithms in the Gazebo simulator using ROS(Robot Operating System) on the Autodrone team. Technologies: Gazebo, ROS, C++, Python, linux.

Engaged in a mentor/mentee program with other women in engineering.

SWE Intern on Secure Data in Motion Team.Developed S2Av2-Go client libraries(https://github.com/google/s2a-go): Improves security of gRPC-Go applications by offloading private key mTLS operations to S2Av2, eliminates direct access to private key material protecting against exfiltration. Gained significant experience with gRPC-Go, Go’s crypto/tls library, OpenSSL and the TLS 1.3 protocol.Identified fundamental problems in the protocol that these libraries used to offload TLS handshake operations.Generated solutions and updated the protocol. Provided clear documentation illustrating problems and solutions.Established and maintained internal import of the Github repository containing these libraries.Developed and debugged end to end integration tests in several environments(local, QA, production) usinginternal testing infrastructure. Enabled Go applications running on Google App Engine to use S2Av2.Presented work to 20+ engineers.

STEP Intern at YouTube UI Frameworks Engprod Team.Initiated the elimination of server response artifacts by developing an analyzer to compute this informationdynamically. Completed entire development process: Wrote design docs, implementation, peer reviews, and internal launch. Collaborated with analyzer infra and EngProd teams to acquire and meet user needs. Worked closely with another intern to integrate their diff report and storage tool into analyzer.Shortened a 30 minute manual process to a single button press through making technical debt improvements to a compiler in YouTube UI infrastructure. Parallelized test execution for each compiler stage. Integrated an internal tool, enabling batch updates of artifacts. Parameterized test suite to improve readability best practice.Presented work and demo to 30+ engineers. Technologies: C++, Bazel, Protocol Buffers, RPC, Testing Infras.

Improved a web application for instant visualization of wind turbine parameter across its geographical neighbors over a time interval. Reduced database queries through caching system on backend. Improved application performance. Integrated application with other company software tools. Created a front-end user interface. Developed algorithms for Big Data Mining, and anomaly detection in ongoing project related to NextEra's wind fleet(Python). Integrated algorithms into a tool to support troubleshooting this project. Created a user interface for the tool. Tool mines databases, run's data through algorithms and produces reports on any anomalies found. In both of the above projects, I used Python on the backend, and Javascript and HTML for the user interface, and SQL to perform tasks on databases. First Prize Winners, Intern Hackathon: Collaborated with 4 interns during this 1 day event to build a one-stop-shop to streamline company on-boarding processes.Engaged in many corporate events throughout the summer to learn about the Energy Industry, and NextEra's business, as well as network with other interns and individuals across business units at NextEra. Presented project/findings to VPs on PGD Leadership team.
