Riyan Abraham is a Senior Geologist and Data Manager at Selkirk Copper Mines Inc.. They possess expertise in mineral exploration, geological mapping, geology, geochemistry, logging and 23 more skills. Colleagues describe them as "I worked with Riyan at VRIFY Technology Inc for over two years, including over a year working with Riyan directly as his subordinate on the Data Team. Riyan is a true polymath; there never seemed to be anything he couldn't do. His knowledge of the mining industry and geology was always a boon to us when dealing with clients, and his coding abilities were considerable as well. He built our team and other teams scripts to check and validate data, significantly improving our productivity. He was responsible for setting up and administering a BCIT practicum for two students which led to one of the students building us a QGIS plugin which has continued to massively increase our efficiency and the workload we are able to perform with the same number of staff. These are just two of his accomplishments just on our team, and I know he contributed similarly on other teams he joined. Riyan was also a mentor to myself, and his enthusiasm for new workflows and teaching was infectious. I've had coworkers who had an attitude of superiority towards others when it came to teaching or leadership but Riyan was always a positive force who wanted me to learn because he found it interesting. I could never learn as quickly as Riyan, and I was always shocked how fast he would pick up workflows or make little icons for the team or make presentations that kept the day-to-day components of our days interesting. He never held it against me when it took me little longer to learn things, which really helped maintain a positive work environment and motivate me to do as much as I could. Riyan is also one of the most even-keeled people I've worked with; I never saw him express much frustration even during stressful work periods. Rather, he just hunkered down and got things done. I was sorry to see Riyan go, and I know he will be a powerful asset for the next company that is lucky enough to hire him."
