I started learning two wheel drive Group A cars and than onwards to a full blown four wheel drive Group A. Course duration one month.Experience in selling high end premium marques such as Rolls Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin. Not forgetting super cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mclaren.

Our monthly target was to achieve 5 units of delivery per month totaling 30 units of cars. Promotion was done with help from marketing team via sms blast, radio advertising as well as local newspapers and magazines. We organize to print our weekly ads in motor trader magazine as well as classified ads in star publication. Not forgetting to place online advertisements in car portal websites such as mudah.com, carlist.my and otto.com. The first six months was the crucial stage where the bos get to decide whether you leave or stay. Most of the time I spent in my showroom attending to walk in customer and to submit daily prospect reports to our manager.I spent a lot of time reading about cars from either magazine or online due to our massive stocks of more than 1000 unit available at one time. I had tag along with my seniors to learn the trick of the trade in ways to close a customer. Most of the seniors here is able to know whether the customer is a genuine buyer or not within the first 10 minutes and within 20 minutes they have gotten one sale!I would say that my best years in sale was during this time when there was not many competitors and that we were the pioneer with the biggest showroom for a recond car dealership. Compare to current times, the question I face back than was; what colour you have it in? and what is the best interest rates? Today's car buyer will bombared me with a whole bunch of question ranging from specs, liters per kilometre and YES! the best price after you had already given him the best price from your bosses mouth five minutes ago! His next answer would be I will call you and when you look 100m away you can see him driving towards our competitors next door.This is the new trend that we face in today's recond car market and to add insult to injury, our bank negara have tighten the criteria for making it harder for people to secure their loans! Now it seems that after you have close a deal, your next step will be to ask politely for the customer to arrange financing before placing a booking. This way, I will save you much grief from waiting for a refund should your loan didn't materialized.
