As a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Coordinator, My scope involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and implementation of mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the installation and operation of these systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection, meet the project specifications and quality standards.My key responsibilities include:1. Collaborating with project Chief Engineer and design teams to review M&E plans and ensuring they align with project requirements.2. Coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to procure necessary equipment and materials for M&E installations.3. Monitoring the progress of M&E works on-site, resolving any technical issues, and ensuring timely completion.4. Conducting quality inspections and testing of M&E systems to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.5. Managing the commissioning process for M&E systems and verifying their proper functioning.6. Estimating project costs related to M&E installations and assisting in budget management.7. Providing technical guidance to the construction team and resolving any conflicts or challenges on behalf of stake holder that may arise during the process.8. Keeping abreast of industry developments and best practices related to mechanical and electrical systems.Overall, My role as an M&E Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the successful integration and functioning of mechanical and electrical components within construction projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the buildings or infrastructure being developed.
