‘I always have a strong desire to achieve success in every project I am assigned to’After completing her BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies in Maldives, she started her professional career at John Keells Maldivian Resorts Pvt Ltd, back in 2007. Joining as a Reservations Assistant, she developed a passion for Hospitality and Tourism. That is when she developed her passion to explore and study further and left her job as a Sales Executive at John Keells to pursue Education. Rizma completed her Bachelors Degree of Tourism Management (Events Management) from Taylors University, Malaysia. Her decision to study abroad and choosing my Bachelors in Tourism Management and Events Management was ideally to develop herself by studying with a group with multicultural beliefs, researching and understanding the nature of business and developing interpersonal skills through one of the most challenging global sectors of the economy, Tourism and managing events. After completing her studies, she was employed at EVO for 4 years, as a Sales and Marketing Manager, to manage and develop one of the biggest retail operations in the Maldives. It gave her a fascinating insight into how one of the most rapidly growing successful businesses in Maldives operates and this helped her to have gain confidence and experience to support her current position as Consumer Sales Manager at Dhiraagu. Rizma has always been motivated to accomplish and challenge herself to new experiences. The skills and personal qualities she developed, understanding the importance of taking care of one another and believing there could not be a limit to development is one of the main reasons she accepted the position as the Secretary General of Women in Management (WIM), Chapter in Maldives. ‘I believe that in some way, each one of us is capable to add to its whole, through dedication, personality, work effort and experiences to date’
