The company involve in the business of import of chemicals, and manufacturing, trading and Export of polyvinyl Chloride Compound compounding for wire & cable and Plastic products manufacturing industry. Here I am working with the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer.In my role I:• Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.• Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.• Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.• Supervise financial reporting and budgeting team.• Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs.• Work well with CEO, and COO to develop the strategic plan.• Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary.Operational Responsibilities:• Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting • Responsible for approval of accounting transactions • Preparation and Submission of monthly tax returns (Sale tax return and withholding tax statement)• Finalization of Annual and Quarterly Accounts• Preparation of annual return and submission to FBR and SECP • Response all Notices issued by the Regulatory bodies.• Dealings with banks on financial maters • Accounts Receivable and Payable management• Administration of the MAB ERP software package- Responsible to perform the entire tasks involved in the completion of each transaction of import

During my stay with A.S SHEIKH & Co., I worked at different levels from Associate to Senior Associate. I fully utilized this opportunity for gaining experience by way of providing the following nature of services to our valued corporate clients including manufacturing and services sectors; • Conducted statutory audit and assurance assignments in accordance with the requirements of Firm’s Audit Methodology and various pronouncements (including IFRS and ISA) and directives issued by national and international regulatory bodies, which included planning, organizing, controlling, and reviewing the entire job.• Prepared stand alone and group consolidated Financial Statements.• Preparation of management letters to the clients highlighting weaknesses in controls environment. • Evaluation of control environment and suggesting recommendations for improvement. • Conducted internal audits and preparation of internal audit reports. • Conducted stock tacks of various clients of auto industry, textile and garments. • Performed book keeping assignments on accounting software Peachtree and Quick Books • Correspondence with Government Institutions (Tax House and SECP) for client tax matters, incorporation of limited companies, filing of statutory forms like Form-A and Form-29 etc. under the requirement of companies ordinance 1984.• Preparation and filing of income & sales tax returns and W.H tax statements for various clients of the firm.
