Working as a senior developer in an enterprise, multi-platform and multi-tenant SaaS based solution suite that comprises of Administrator, Server, and the Player which forms the core of a digital signage platform. Working closely with the architect and VP engineering, I have implemented features such as audience analysis (Quvidi), remote device communication over TCP and serial port, advance scheduling, etc. On an ongoing basis, I have efficiently analysed, optimized and solved many of the core, client escalated, software issues. I worked as a backend game developer in the online and social gaming studio. At Behaviour I developed the social gaming framework based on an Entity System model in PHP and MySql that can be easily scaled horizontally. Several facebook APIs such as authentication, notifications, opengraph, etc were integrated. The framework was extended to provide game analytics through Kontagent and google APIs, and a customer support tool was build. The framework and the game were rigorously tested and analyzed to predict hardware requirement on Amazon EC2 servers for varying workloads. I was responsible for designing game models, developing backend services, writing player migration scripts, and frequent deployments. Currently I am integrating a Unity game with Mobage on the device side for both iOS and Android and developing the game’s backend on nodejs and mongodb on the server side.

I graduated with the CGPA of 3.80 and a master’s thesis. I did my research in distributed information system lab under the supervision of Prof. Bettina Kemme. In my thesis, I developed a holistic distributed caching infrastructure that exploits the main memory capacity of the application server cluster and also employs replication to reduce remote access. The popular resources are identified using a monitoring and analysis tool that gathers statistics, and then prepares efficient cache distribution and replication policies.

I worked part-time as lab consultant in Computer Science lab. My responsibilities were to resolve student’s technical and programming issues, maintain quite decorum in lab, and coordinate with security for any mishaps in lab.

D1.Pathway is an expert system based on rules derived from lab, pharmacy and radiology data that helps physicians make accurate diagnosis.In D1.Pathway, I worked on the Flex based Rule Generation UI. This involves creation of a dynamic user interface for doctors and health professionals, with validation and rule enforcement. The rules are transformed to an HL 7 compliant rule XML which can be reloaded for further modifications. The Rule UI was then integrated with BEA WebLogic portal application with Oracle as backend.Hallway.comHallway.com is a website which empowers users to give context based reviews and ratings to companies, people, products, etc. I worked on the user authentication and authorization, and profile management. I built and customized Druapl modules (PHP), and created optimal database design and entity structures (in MySQL) for efficient read operations. In addition, I worked on data scraping, cleansing and parallel loading of millions of entities without taking site offline. Throughout this project I had to collaborate with the client in USA about the features, issues and progress on daily basis.MySQLI was required to do white box testing of MySQL server environmental variables. For that I prepared test scripts, test data and expected output. Testing was done in a standalone or replicated environment leveraging MySQL testing framework. Found bugs in various platforms were filed on MySQL bug reporting system.

Sidestep is a travel search engine which allows you to search, compare and filter hundreds of flights, hotels, car rentals and vacation packages. I worked on the back end interface of search engine which uses technologies like Web Services, Axis, XML, Java, HTTPS etc to search for availability. Many travel APIs such as OTA (Open Travel alliance) were analyzed and implemented. My responsibilities were to analyze specs and communicate with service suppliers, build search modules, and do peer code reviews for optimal performance.Sidestep was later acquired by Kayak. For Kayak, I developed a Price Accuracy Index, which compares available rates with the actual booking price for Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity. I also developed a robust multi-threaded application to extract supported hotels from Expedia.com.
