Identified the protein interactions of Pax7 within Mus musculus primary myoblasts. Observed self-renewal properties within Pax7 over-expression models through cell culture maintenance. Performed PCR with obtained constructs along with gel electrophoresis to isolate DNA sequence from the plasmid. Conducted digestion of gene from plasmid followed by ligation of DNA into the desired vector. Transformed constructs into E. Coli bacteria followed by digestion verification and Sanger Sequencing. Transfected constructs into primary myoblasts with selection using puromycin. Created a Bradford Assay to identify protein concentration from whole cell digestion. Utilized western blot analysis to confirm Pax7 over-expression. Performed immunoprecipitation with magnetic beads for interacting proteins. Used mass spectrometry to identify and quantify protein interactors.

Investigated the genetic factors caused by invasive mountain pine beetle populations within boreal forests across Canada. Quantified DNA extracts using Qubit analysis with mountain pine beetles obtained from Alberta, British Columbia, and Southern Ontario. Performed PCR analysis to verify stable DNA of mountain pine beetles in addition to determining primer efficiency. Maintained a clean and organized environment within the lab ensuring all lab equipment was cleaned along with reagents fully stocked.

Observed and assisted with western blot analysis of frog limb metabolic enzymes. Identified specific areas within target proteins that were methylated under oxidative stress. Maintained a clean and safe environment through the application of health and safety protocols. Ensured laboratory consumables, such as pipette tips and gloves, were re-stocked for lab members to primarily focus on producing their research.

Surveyed a series of datasets to ensure viability and efficiency within the DocBox software. Identified issues with SNOMED codes that could potentially cause confusion for various hospitals. Discussed the difference in vocabulary between clinics while collecting similar terms to use as synonyms. Interpreted DocBox datasets for specific terms that could be used in a more effective manner.

Served as a receiver for clinical supplies which were allocated to their respective departments. Problem-solved and adapted to unique situations with expediting products and locating the final destination. Used programs such as Infinium for product distribution while handling financial invoices for various units.
