Working on a variety of projects for financial services clients, using Splunk to visualise and understand their data. Developed an Open Banking app in Splunk, with custom dashboard visualisations.

Codeclan is a 16 week intensive software development course, teaching us the basics of Ruby, Javascript and Java, which are used in tandem with tools such as Postgres, MongoDB, Sinatra etc to develop full stack applications. As part of this course I have completed weekend projects to create simple apps consolidating my skills, a solo week-long project creating a full-stack Ruby app, and a group Javascript project making an in-browser BlackJack game.

As Maps and Plans Archivist I was responsible for cataloguing and providing access to historical maps and plans held within the collections of National Records for Scotland. As part of this role, I was responsible for setting the responsibilities and supervising the work of a new Maps and Plans Assistant role, in collaboration with the Head of Maps and Plans.

Cataloguing case notes to item level, identifying key information about a patient and setting access restrictions according to legislation and guidance. Writing regular entries for LHSA blog about my work, and producing articles in collaboration with colleagues in order to promote my project and the work of LHSA.

Cataloguing materials relating to the treatment of tuberculosis at a range of London hospitals, and working closely with a conservator to ensure the best care of the collection. Answering enquiries about the collections. Maintaining the project blog, to inform a wider audience about the records held at the Royal London Hospital Archives.

Cataloguing materials held at Gleneagles Hotel and donated by the public in preparation for the Hotel's 90th anniversary celebrations.Selecting and digitising materials for an online exhibition, and assisting with the preparation of an exhibition.

Working on an AV digitisation project, cataloguing videos within the AV collection to in-house and international standards,and subsequently preparing films for digitisation. Appraising the collection, paying close attention to detail in order to note minor differences between similar works. Producing several internal communications about the project.

As part of a Club 21 placement, I volunteered at GUAS to create a guide to assist with enquiries about the Stoddard Templeton collection. I examined the business records of the company to determine if there was a way to trace carpet orders, and produced a report on my findings with guidelines for tracing certain orders.

Graduate trainee on the futureArch project.- Capturing and describing digital materials in a variety of formats. This included a project to determine how best to capture materials from digital videotapes. Updating the project handbook to reflect different formats.- Web archiving, including developing collections, and performing continual quality assurance checks on archived materials, troubleshooting as required. Updating the project handbook on web archiving as new processes became clear. - Cataloguing paper and hybrid collections, including a series of title deeds and a self-destructing digital book- Assisting in the reading room.

Volunteered at Shropshire Archives, re-cataloguing Parish collections and updating the records in CALM, reorganising the collections physically and in the catalogue in order to meet the new in-house policy.
