Dec 2014 - PresentCalgary, Alberta▪ Completed 15+ feasibility projects (various clients across Canada, up to 4,800 acres in size) to assess land & infrastructure including evaluating client goals, alternative building materials / envelopes, power, heat, water, agro-ecology and code compliance to identify project objectives, key challenges, systemic requirements, and critical constraints.▪ Ongoing multi-year $1M+ acreage retrofit in SK. Performed all feasibility, concept planning, detailed engineering design and project management: 12 kW solar pv, 30 kW-h battery back-up, 20,000 liter potable rainwater system, and 5,000 m3 pond.▪ Design team member for a fully off-grid homestead south of Calgary (built to Passive House Standard); specific tasks included acting as a trusted advisor, full site planning, scoping and recommendations for building materials and technology, supporting the architect, HVAC system design, septic system design & installation, domestic and landscape water harvesting, and design of food production systems.▪ Designed and installed innovative annualized geosolar system for Ready-To-Move home in central Alberta. https://bit.ly/2BV00LR.▪ Co-developed the Adaptive Habitat Program. This online training provides processes and open-source tools for land stewards to design, create and maintain sustainable properties. ▪ Designed and implemented large outdoor community space, food forest, rain and groundwater integrated systems for property in BC. Site collects 200,000 litres of underground rainwater storage and manages 500,000 – 1,000,000 litres of rainwater, storm water and greywater through ponds, swales and food forestry systems.
