▪ Completed 15+ feasibility projects (various clients across Canada, up to 4,800 acres in size) to assess land & infrastructure including evaluating client goals, alternative building materials / envelopes, power, heat, water, agro-ecology and code compliance to identify project objectives, key challenges, systemic requirements, and critical constraints.▪ Ongoing multi-year $1M+ acreage retrofit in SK. Performed all feasibility, concept planning, detailed engineering design and project management: 12 kW solar pv, 30 kW-h battery back-up, 20,000 liter potable rainwater system, and 5,000 m3 pond.▪ Design team member for a fully off-grid homestead south of Calgary (built to Passive House Standard); specific tasks included acting as a trusted advisor, full site planning, scoping and recommendations for building materials and technology, supporting the architect, HVAC system design, septic system design & installation, domestic and landscape water harvesting, and design of food production systems.▪ Designed and installed innovative annualized geosolar system for Ready-To-Move home in central Alberta. https://bit.ly/2BV00LR.▪ Co-developed the Adaptive Habitat Program. This online training provides processes and open-source tools for land stewards to design, create and maintain sustainable properties. ▪ Designed and implemented large outdoor community space, food forest, rain and groundwater integrated systems for property in BC. Site collects 200,000 litres of underground rainwater storage and manages 500,000 – 1,000,000 litres of rainwater, storm water and greywater through ponds, swales and food forestry systems.

Also teach popular online course on the design of passive solar greenhouses and have built a proprietary spreadsheet tool for design.CONSULTATION Provide consulting services to 60+ clients to address urban issues related to storm water and rainwater, energy and food sustainability; co-designed and installed erosion control structures to reverse erosive damage caused by livestock mismanagement. ▪ Participated in creating model to evaluate how to increase wind energy utilization in Folkecenter’s autonomous renewable energy district heating system; system included wind solar and combined heat and power systems. ▪ Repaired and maintained existing wind turbines (525kW, 75kW, 22kW and numerous other smaller turbines), co-generation and district heating system for facility. ▪ Hand-picked to serve as Teaching Assistant in Cairo, Egypt for weeklong Wind Technology Training Course presented to consortium of manufacturing companies seeking to enter wind industry.

Focused on project management, project design, cost estimation, piping and instrumentation review, regulatory requirements, procurement and contract development for $100K - $1M projects: ▪ Performed facility troubleshooting and upgrading of gas gathering facility▪ Designed pipeline for gathering system in Northern Alberta▪ Designed, procured and implemented single water injection well site▪ Refurbished oil shipping facility to handle segregated streams of high and low sulfur crude.

▪ Oversaw engineering design of 30+ projects simultaneously ranging from $100K to $800K. ▪ Participated in hazard identification, risk assessments and consequence analysis on all projects prior to construction. ▪ Scoped out project details and created cost estimates for each project to determine viability.▪ Provided on and off site engineering support during construction phase.

▪ Assisted in commissioning and start up of two 160 ton/day liquid CO2 plants.▪ Evaluated performance deficiencies, bottlenecks and integrity issues.▪ Completed course on machinery diagnostics, vibration measurement, analysis and condition monitoring.
